9th July 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: W/SW Wind Stength: 20-35 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 ft Air Temperature: 17C Sea Temperature: Weather: overcast/sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Epic summer conditions and nice warm water. Arrived to find it howling sustained 30-35 knot gust but it calmed down to solid 20 to 30 knots. Saw Al and Steve having the last few runs of the day then rigged up. Rigged the 5.0m and wave board. On the water I felt more at home in waves than ever before, I must be getting used to these conditions at last. Headed out and quickly in straps and popped some small jumps on the way out. Never venture too far out but as it was quite onshore so that didn't matter. Had some nice runs today and really enjoyed the session. No real big rinsings either and no damage, except a gash on the leg.... Also met Steve, Steveo and Impi out there as well as a few others that I didn't recognise. Good to have so many people on the water. More please. |
